At last, spring is finally here.
That’s good news for the flowers and the trees, and the birds and the bees, but have you taken
a good, honest look at your facial skin lately?
After months of drying winter weather, doesn’t your face deserve some major pampering?
Mine certainly does.
By this time of the year, my face is in dire need of the powerful, exfoliating properties of
one particularly ‘magical’ beauty food: the papaya.
The “transformative” beauty benefits of papaya include:
*dissolves the dead outer layer of skin revealing the new layer underneath due to papain,
a protein-digesting enzyme in papaya
*deep-cleans your skin
*brightens the appearance of your skin
*balances uneven coloration
*helps to rid your skin of a blotchy appearance
Now, I am not saying that it will perform miracles, but give papaya a try and your skin
will thank you for it.
Here’s an easy exfoliating papaya facial mask to whip up in your natural kitchen:
Papaya enzyme facial mask
Ingredients:
1/2 cup fresh, mashed papaya, preferably organic
1 whipped organic egg white
1 teaspoon of honey
For additional cooling or if you have sensitive skin, add 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt to
your mixture.
Directions:
Mix all of your ingredients together in a large bowl.
Wash your skin before applying the facial mask mixture.
Leave the mask on your face for approximately five to eight minutes, giving the papaya
enzymes time to exfoliate your skin.
Rinse off with warm water first, then with cooler water.
Pat dry when done.
Now take a look in the mirror for the big reveal and SMILE!
But don’t stop here!
There are hundreds of other natural beauty recipes you can make at home.
Get in the kitchen and whip up a batch of fresh, natural beauty treatments and pamper yourself.
You don’t have to pay for commercial cosmetic products to look your best.
In fact, many times the natural solution is healthier and more effective than the chemical-laden
products and potions you often find in most stores.
Have you made papaya home beauty treatments?
